Lots of calls and emails coming in from fellow sufferers.  Check out my latest Blog post for a general reply:

And feel free to talk about it here, or on email, or whatever.  I'm glad to help out if you're scared of the surgery.

Speaking of being scared of the surgery -- My mind is polluted by endless hours of watching operations on cable TV.  We've all watched those shows, right?  So, to keep in that vein, here's a picture of the scar I took after my surgery (linked, because it's yucky):

That was as soon as I got home, after a three day hospital stay.  I was a mess, too, and very high on percocet.  Very, very high...The drive from Baltimore to Silver Spring was not an easy one.  My uncle had to go at about 30mph the whole time, with me screaming out at every bump.  But what an awesome scar, eh?  My hair's grown back in, so you can't see it.

Wow, I had not seen this before.  Amazing story.  I can't even comprehend how you survived that, never mind how you started a press in the midst of it all.

It all seems like a long time ago now... As to starting an independent press, I think one of the main requirements was that I had to be a little bit out of my mind.
