Issue 24 / Winter 2021 / Special Issue: Pleasure
I paint my lips with cheerwine fine and seduction
and fingerspell you to sleep
with silky palm and butterfly kisses.
And there is God in this place tonight.
That is undeniable.
The sounds we make shake dust from the ceiling.
And you wake up hungry
satisfied but not satiated.
You call me back knowing
I can’t, won’t, say no.
